Gender Stereotypes in media

Analizing Disney movies I found out some women stereotypes represented in them. Thin-white women are considered beautiful and valuable, a good dress and make up make also makes them beautiful.

There are also some dispelled women stereotypes represented in this films, us we can see on many of Disney films women are usually saved by man, this makes us think women aren't strong and need a man that takes care of them.

Most of this stereotypes were negative because women can feel bad about themselves because of this stereotypes, a black girl might feel bad with herself because of this Disnye stereotypes that make us think only white-thin women are beautiful.

I wasn't surprised because this kind of stereotypes are represented in many medias and usually represent the same gender stereotypes.

Women and girls are portrayed as weaker than man and they have to take care of the man because they need him to protect them. It also represents beauty as an important aspect that makes you be succesful in life.

It may make this girls feeling bad about thereselfs.

Yes because theirs no point making them belive they have to be one way and if they are not like that they ara unwanted or useless.
